How to use cerium oxide on enamel?
Cerium oxide is often used to polish enamel. Here's how you can use it:
Materials Needed:
Cerium oxide powder.
Soft cloth or polishing pad.
Water.
Steps:

  1. Prepare the enamel surface: Clean the enamel item to remove any dirt, debris, or oils. You can use a mild detergent and water for this step. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry.
  2. Mix cerium oxide: Create a paste by mixing a small amount of cerium oxide powder with water. The consistency should be similar to a thick cream.
  3. Apply the paste: Using a soft cloth or polishing pad, apply the cerium oxide paste to the enamel surface. Work in small sections and use gentle pressure.
  4. Polish: Move the cloth or pad in a circular motion to polish the enamel. Keep adding more paste as needed and continue polishing until you achieve the desired level of smoothness and shine.
  5. Rinse and clean: Once you are satisfied with the polishing, rinse the enamel item thoroughly with water to remove any remaining cerium oxide paste. Dry it with a clean cloth.

It's important to note that when using cerium oxide, take proper safety precautions such as wearing gloves and eye protection. Also, be careful not to apply too much pressure during polishing to avoid damaging the enamel.
