Rare Earth Polishing Powder Polishing Ability

The polishing ability of rare earth polishing powder, the content of cerium oxide and the physical and chemical properties of polishing powder, such as viscosity and chemical activity, are closely related. Generally, rare earth polishing powder with high cerium oxide content has strong polishing ability, but high cerium rare earth polishing powder is expensive, and low cerium rare earth polishing powder is widely used. In the process of preparing rare earth polishing powder, additives containing fluorine and sulfate are usually added to produce fluoride and sulfate. Rare earth polishing powders containing fluoride and sulfates generally have good polishing properties. For example, the average cerium oxide content of XP-771 and XP-CF rare earth polishing powders commonly used in China is only 50%, but they all contain fluoride and sulfate.
